  • You are using the latest version of your browser (IE or Firefox recommended)
  • You have Unicode font installed. Punycode is based on Unicode 3.2 but there are no known fonts which will support the all glyphs defined here. We recommend using Arial Unicode MS font (the most complete unicode font as per our knowledge)

What is IDN [wikipedia]?

Browser support for navigating to URLs written in users' native languages is critical for making the Internet truly international. Internationalized Domain Names (IDN) composed of Unicode characters from all of the world's languages and relies upon a standardized mechanism known as "Punycode" for encoding Unicode domain names using only the ASCII characters that are permitted by the global DNS system. In short, you can have a domain name in your own language and type in browser to access your website.

Example: In Urdu language, if you register domain name WWW.LAHORE.COM, you would be typing web URL in Urdu Language (www.لاهور.com) as shown in the below picture:
